I went to Comicon in Melbourne last weekend. As a veteran con goer since 1979, I continue to rejoice at the massive vibe of joy among the current generation, who can be themselves without stigma. And can express themselves in magnificent costumes. I belong to the pioneer Nerds who were unaware of the Spectrum that we were all afflicted with. We were known as weirdos, and were laughed at wherever we went. I was diagnosed 5 years ago at age 66 and I wouldn’t change a thing. Asperger’s is a gift, not a condition.
