KC Davis of Struggle Care had a great podcast episode on this subject. The title is a little clickbaity ("Is Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria Real?") but the topic is handled sensitively and with care. Bottom line is that the experience is a very real one, even if there's reasonable, good-faith debate over what the actual mechanism at play is. Like with BPD, an awful lot of people who experience RSD could also meet the diagnostic criteria for C-PTSD if we were able to accept that long-term masking & going undiagnosed for years can be a form of trauma.

Thank you so goddamn much!

I did not know there was a name for this feeling. I thought I was just coming apart. Now that I recognize it, I ought to be able to manage it better.

Thank you!!!

So good. Love the thorough and yet relatable way you explain stuff. I would love to point our audience (23,000 parents, educators, and health professionals) to your newsletter. Would you like to do a resource swap?
