Hi, ADHDers!
How’s everyone doing?
I’m 2 months into being unemployed and my mental health and health has improved.
Who knew all I needed was some time out of the corporate rat race?
But with the cost of living crisis, I’m ready to get back into the working world!
I’ve been very mindful of my spending as I don’t have a monthly salary to look ahead to. This brings me to the topic of ADHD Tax.
Who else has lost out on money due to ADHD Tax?
Sucks, right!
Well I’ve just uploaded a Youtube video that covers:
What is ADHD Tax?
What is the Black Tax?
How I’ve been managing my ADHD Tax including suggestions
I’ll do a part two on budgeting and managing finances. You can watch Part 1 below:

I’m in the same boat. Great post. Thank you for sharing.
Yes! It's so real! Thanks for the tips! I also feel more susceptible to being scammed and stolen from, and that alone has cost me loads of money. (Like needing a new laptop after a scam filled it with spyware). The Black Tax, the Disabled Tax, the Pink Tax...capitalism/colonialism sucks. I started putting out a basket of fidgets for my friends when they come over, and now we all do it. It's a great way to try new fidgets without having to invest in a stash you'll never use because they're not "right". It's a tiny drop in the bucket, but it helps and it builds community.
