A character that's looks like a lightbulb with a human body and facial features - yellow body, blue trousers, and a pair of grey and white trainers on. There are brain-shaped speech bubbles with the following words: Rumination, Hyperfocus, ADHD Tax, RSD, and Time Blindness.

Hey friends!

You might be wondering why there’s an image of an animated lightbulb. Well, this is a new character I created - say hi!

I see my ADHD brain as a lightbulb. When I have a firm grip on my executive functioning skills, the light stays on. When my ADHD traits are all over the place, the light flickers. When things aren’t going too well, the bulb has blown.

Does this make sense to you?

I’ve started working on a new type of content that I’m calling ‘ADHD stories’. These stories will feature common scenarios that people with ADHD find themselves in.

I hope ADHD stories will:

  • Be a useful tool for you to communicate what living with ADHD is like, to people in your lives.

  • Help you know that you’re not alone in adulting with ADHD. (cues in High School Musical - we’re all in this together!)

  • Be an enjoyable read!

Each ADHD story will have comic strips/illustrations to go with the text. The first ADHD story will be on ADHD and impulsivity. Here’s a sneak peek:

A character that's looks like a lightbulb with a human body and facial features, sat in a room at a desk that has a computer, a desk and a keyboard on it. There’s also a bookshelf with 7 books on it in the room. There is a speech bubble by the character which says “I really shouldn’t have bought that”.

Keep your eyes peeled for the first edition!

Rach, with ADHD.
