📢 This month in ADHD news - November
Bringing you the latest ADHD related topics across social platforms for the month of November!
1. New York Times: Is it possible to outgrow ADHD?
I came across this interesting article, written by Cheryl Maguire on whether or not it’s possible to outgrow ADHD. In my view, someone doesn’t ‘outgrow’ ADHD. I think it comes down to better management, coping strategies and access to resources like an ADHD coach.
Here’s an extract from the article:
“People are outgrowing the D.S.M. criteria but not outgrowing their disorder for the most part” - Dr. Barkley

2. ADHD reWired podcast: The Fidgety Entrepreneur with Jason Burns from Fidgetland
Are you an entrepreneur or an aspiring entrepreneur in need of some motivation? If so, this podcast episode with Jason Burns might just be what you need.
Jason is the creator of many fidget toys, the most notable one being the ‘fidget ring’. I first heard of Jason a couple of years ago when he appeared on an episode of Shark Tank. He received $50,000 funding from Barbara Corcoran, a ‘shark’ on the show.
It was reported that Jason sold 50,000 units, bringing in over $500,000 in gross sales in the ten years he started his business (reported in 2018).

3. Kings College London survey: The role of exercise in ADHD self-management
Kings College London (a university) is conducting a survey on Exercise and ADHD. They’re seeking individuals living in the UK between 16-55 years of age to participate in the anonymous survey.
